Yann-Bor Wen started playing the violin and piano at age 5, using the Suzuki method. After a few years of lessons, she decided to focus her musical studies on violin. Since then, she has had countless experiences with both orchestral and solo performances. She started playing in the Austin Youth Orchestra since she was 6, also joining various chamber groups throughout her life. She currently performs regularly in ensemble groups and with the Houston Sinfonietta. Her performance experience ranges in genre, including Classical, Fiddling, Jazz, Pop, and Chamber Music.

Yann-Bor is a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas, which aspires to improve the quality of life in the Americas through classical music study with the Suzuki approach. She is also an active member of the Southeast Texas Suzuki Association. She teaches from age 3 to adult. Students are encouraged to perform in recitals, partake in violin workshops, and attend live concerts. Yann-Bor is currently teaching elementary school Suzuki programs in the Houston ISD. She believes that it is never too late to start learning the violin. Ultimately, she strives to develop a deep understanding of music and musicality in the student, while enriching their lives.
